Trauma
Trauma is an emotional response to an overwhelming incident and can be disruptive to your daily life. Your attitudes, behavior, and worldview may no longer feel safe to you and can cause you to operate from a fractured state of mind. A person with PTSD symptoms may have physiological symptoms and occasional panic. EMDR is a powerful and effective evidence-based practice that we include in our modalities of care to treat trauma, such as PTSD. We work to reduce these symptoms by working with the nervous system to integrate positive beliefs, eventually reducing and eliminating symptoms.
