Domestic Violence
Many populations (women, the elderly, children) find themselves vulnerable to actions that cause physical harm to themselves or members of the family unit. Violence can occur against children by a parent, a partner against another partner, and violence can also happen against elders by a younger member of the family. Although sometimes accepted as cultural, violent behavior is not healthy. Therapy can stop the vicious and abusive interactions where family behavior is cruel, demeaning, harmful, or invasive.
